ROME (Reuters) - Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti resigned, struggling in the polls, announced Friday that the coalition take legislative elections of 24 and 25 février.
Former European Commissioner for 69 years, who succeeded Silvio Berlusconi in November 2011 during the economic crisis, announced last week that briguerait a second term at the head of gouvernement.
"I hope (the new covenant) will improve the policy and it will renew the interest of Italians who have turned their backs on politics, involving them again actively in public affairs," he Mario Monti said Friday presenting his alliance "with Monti in Italy."
"It Professore" has also indicated that it would submit a single list in the Senate and three separate lists together in a coalition in the House of députés.
Mario Monti has repeatedly he intends to take the direction of a large gathering of pro-European parties and liberals after the elections février.
According to surveys, 50% of voters are still undecided or plan to abstain on 24 and 25 February prochains.
According to a survey by the research institute issued by Tecne SkyTG24 Friday, the coalition of Mario Monti is credited with just over 12% of voix.
The Democratic Party (PD) and its ally Left, Ecology and Freedom, are credited with 40% of voting intentions. As for the People of Freedom (PDL) Silvio Berlusconi and his allies in the Northern League, they would win 25% of the vote, according to the same sondage.
